Case Study: Criteo

Criteo's European Comms team relies on Releasd to help them demonstrate the value that they are bringing to the business across various markets.

Business Summary

Criteo is a global technology company that enables brands and retailers to connect more shoppers to the things they need and love. Criteo has built the Criteo Commerce Marketing Ecosystem: an open, secure, transparent, and fair environment where retailers, brands, and publishers collaborate to put data into action at every point of the purchase journey. Its value to clients lies in measurable performance in the form of sales, and profits.

It's an easier way to digest the coverage and it makes it much easier to see the benefit that PR is bringing to the organisation. And that’s the feedback I get from the Exec, too.
Sarah-Anne Bray, Senior Communications Manager,
UK & Northern Europe

Why is stakeholder engagement important for your team?

I cover northern Europe. We do proactive PR in the UK, the Netherlands and Sweden. I have to demonstrate the value that the PR brings to the three heads of those countries, plus the regional MD.

Of course I want to show that I am personally doing a good job as well!

How was this being done prior to Releasd?

For monthly reports, it was a Word document. Then there was a global report that was a huge Word document plus an Excel spreadsheet which actually listed all the coverage.

What challenges did those formats present?

We just knew no one was looking at them!

I am very busy, but the Execs are even busier. People’s attention spans are waning. They’re often on mobiles. They are never going to have the time or the inclination to sift through a large Word doc, which means they wouldn’t actually get a flavour of what the coverage really looks like.

What first drove you to explore Releasd?

I wanted to make it quicker and easier for the Execs to absorb coverage and to see how good a job PR is doing. More than that, I wanted an engaging way of presenting outcomes: showing how many leads or customers that coverage had delivered.

What are you using Releasd for?

Monthly reports for all countries around the world. Then we create a global PR report that has each key country’s specific achievements.

Our agencies use it to report into us so everything is consistent.

I share updates with everyone in my team and the whole office of whatever country it relates to. Then the country MDs, and finally the C-Suite.

Who are your internal stakeholders?

I share updates with everyone in my team and the whole office of whatever country it relates to. Then the country MDs, and finally the C-Suite.

What impact has Releasd had?

Releasd definitely saves time. I'm a massive fan of not spending too much time reporting. I just don't see the point, you know? I'd rather see an agency spend time talking to journalists rather than creating a forty page report for me!

If there are TV or radio interviews or social media, you can put everything in the one place, rather than saying, "Well here's an Excel spreadsheet that you can open and go through with the coverage. And here's an attachment of the radio clip and here's another attachment with the TV video”.

I really like how it’s presented. It looks really smart. It's an easier way to digest the coverage and it makes it much easier to see the benefit that PR is bringing to the organisation. And that’s the feedback I get from the Exec, too.

What would you say to others considering adopting Releasd?

Do it! In all honesty, I haven't seen anything better than Releasd, so that would be my answer.
